Requirements and Build Integration Pattern

Pattern Type
Structural
This pattern is structural because it relates to how two of The Core Process aspects integrate together.
Description
Though The Core Process dictates that requirements must be known before anything can be built, it does not imply that all requirements are necessary before any building is done. This pattern represents those practices that integrate requirements gathering with building. For example, using prototyping to define and gain sign-off on requirements uses this pattern.
Fundamentally, this pattern represents a methodology that does not require all requirements to be defined prior to building. More specifically, it defines an expectation that most of the requirements are not defined prior to the start of building. For example, this pattern doesn't represent a methodology that has most of the requirements defined up front with more elaboration to follow.
